As a child and through adulthood, Tamika “Lady” Rolax-Brown has been fascinated and obsessed with makeup. Every magazine that she looks in and TV shows/films that she views; she focuses her attention on the creativeness of the makeup. Lady Rolax is currently a freelance makeup artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Although, she has been doing her own makeup since the age of 15 for special events; at the age of 17 she realized that she was very talented when friends and family would complement her on her own makeup. At the age of 19 she started doing makeup for her friends for special occasions. She is a self-taught makeup artist and has had this talent of makeup artistry for about 14 years and working in the industry now for 4 years. She loves how makeup can transform your look as well as enhance your features bringing out your natural beauty.

While obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Mass Media Arts concentrating in film she worked at Bovanti cosmetics for about 2 years. After graduating from Morris Brown College in May of 2000 she decided to work for Estee Lauder and worked with them for about a year. She then new makeup was still her calling. However, Lady Rolax decided to redirect her career and obtained a Masters Degree from Clark Atlanta University in Public Administration concentrating in Human Resources Management. After graduation in May 2004 she was already working in the corporate world and continued to. Having worked in a corporate environment for a few years and becoming unemployed; due to the down spiral of the economy; Lady Rolax decided to redirect her focus and start her company Doll Faces Makeup Artistry in January 2006 to showcase her talent and thus creating a job for herself.

Ever since then she has painted THE faces of many beautiful people. She has worked with WNBA star tammy Sutton-brown, r&b singer keith sweat, just to name a few. You can also find her work in Upscale Magazine, Enstyle Hair ads, idonia hair and skin products, and the list goes on.

Her strategic goal is to take her makeup artistry to the national level. Lady Rolax states “I am perfecting my craft everyday to become great at what I do.” She considers herself to be very multi-talented and gifted.
